Just Another Manic Friday

Well it's another Friday afternoon and I'm studying yet again. I'm trying to get everything taken care of before I go home next week. I don't want to spend every free moment of my break doing work. Plus, mom would be pissed. I think that she has a lot of plans for us next week. Unfortunately, most of those plans involve watching Beauty and the Geek. It's kind of weird how much she loves that show. I'm going to practice sleeping with my eyes open so she won't know that I'm sleeping instead of watching that show.
I can't wait to see my family and friends. I've missed them so much. I've yet to meet anyone in Buffalo that's as weird/entertaining as Amy. I need my AmyPratt fix. She makes me seem almost normal.
The high schools must have just let out because Starbucks is full of teenage girls. There's an all girls school right down the road and I guess they all run over here as soon as school lets out. Let's see how many pair of Ugg boots I can count. Ohhhhh...there are some hot pink ones. I so want a pair. Gag me.

I think that Buffalo is starting to grow on me. Yes, I still long for the suburbs but I really like being able to walk to bookstores, coffeeshops, restaurants, and cute little shops. It's also a really pretty area with cool houses and buildings. It's a shame that my school is in the ghetto. I'm really considering buying some pepper spray. I just hope that I don't end up spraying myself. I could see myself doing that. I've turned into a major clutz and I've developed a habit of walking into doors. What's wrong with me??

I'm getting really excited about Christmas!! We need to buy a tree and tacky decorations. I can't wait! It's going to be awesome. I know that Amanda mentioned a place where you can go on sleigh rides. How awesome is that?? Yes, I have the mentality of a 7 year old but I love myself so that's all that matters.

Ok back to immunology. Jealous?

Here's a picture that I'm sure you all will love. I go outside like this too.

I Use Coupons Now

Yeah, it's a pain having to pay for my own groceries. I actually used a coupon yesterday. Talk about a shock!!! Haha. I had to buy facial moisturizer because the cold weather is making my face all dry and chapped. I had a $1 coupon from Wegman's so I just had to use it.

Things are pretty much the same. I'm sitting at Starbucks studying. At least I change up where I study. Sometimes it's at Roswell. Sometimes it's at UB. I can't go to the same place all of the time. It kind of drives me crazy.

Megan and Amanda haven't been around the apartment much this past week. Megan was house sitting/babysitting and it's a miracle that the kid is still alive. Amanda has been doing her usual thing and I think that she's in PA this weekend helping her grandparents do something. It's been quiet but lonely. I really miss the noise and activity. I hate coming home to a dark, empty apartment. Hopefully Megan will be back tomorrow.

I only have one full week left before Thanksgiving break. This semester has just flown by. It's insane. It feels like I just started and now the semester is almost over. I'm really looking forward to next semester. I'm taking genetics and immunology classes. It just makes my nerdy heart tremble. I've also been looking at medical schools that I want to apply to. I'm not telling anyone so don't even ask. I think that I've finally decided to take the MCAT in April. I need more time to study because I want to do well. What will I do if I don't get into Medical School?? Ok, I'm not going to think about that because I just might cry if I do.

Back to my boring life....

Why Can't I Get Good Thai Food in Buffalo?

I survived the second round of exams...barely. Oh they were awful and I wanted to cry. I actually went to bed at 9pm last night and woke up at 8am this morning. I was exhausted.

It's gotten really cold here. I mean bone-chilling cold. This is like how it feels in Tennessee in January...on a bad day. It's only November *sad face* and I'm wearing 4 layers. What am I going to do when it gets really cold? Oh my gosh, I'm going to die. It was snowing today. SNOWING! All I have to say is Thank You Mom for making be bring all of these blankets and Thank You Susie for making me this fleece-lined one. All I need now are socks, gloves, and a few hats.

I'm watching the CMA awards and I'm getting kind of homesick. It's funny because I can really recognize a Tennessee accent now. I used to think that all Southern accents were the same but now I can tell the difference. I miss the South. I can't wait to go home for Thanksgiving. I really miss my crazy family. They just make things so much more interesting.

So here's something funny...
Saturday I really wanted some pinto beans and cornbread (yes, I'm a true Southern girl). I went to the store and it took me 10 minutes to find the one tiny bag of beans that they had in the whole store. Thankfully, Nannie had sent me some cornmeal because they don't have it up here. Stupid Yankees (haha). Anyway, it was wonderful and I'm so glad that I walked through every aisle in Wegman's to find that tiny bag of beans. It was worth it.

Ok back to the TV. I love Brad Paisley.
