Summer...ah sweet summer. Too bad my summer involves working 2 jobs, research, and studying for the MCAT. Actually it's not that bad. I have had a few free days so I'm not going completely insane. Yesterday Megan, Tim, and I went hiking near Niagara Falls. It was gorgeous and we had a really good time. I probably shouldn't have gone because I sprained my ankle Friday night and crawling over rocks wasn't the best therapy for it. Now it's swollen up and bruised.
I'm a smart one, I know. I haven't been hiking in a really long time so I needed this. I also really needed to get out of the city. I'm so not a city girl. I need the country and the trees.Megan and I moved into a new apartment around the first of May. It's a lot better than our old one. More space, better layout, lower rent. the neighbors are nicer...etc. I also have a new puppy. I figure if I'm going to be single for the rest of my life I need some sort of companion and I can't be a cat lady.
They're just weird. Mr. Wendell (the dog) is a pain in the butt but he keeps me entertained. I spend most of the time laughing at him. He just has so much personality. Mom brought him up here when she helped me move and then she promptly bought his sister when she got home. I knew that she wouldn't be able to give up a puppy. She's a sucker for 'em. Mr. Wendell likes to torture Megan's dog so that makes me like him even more. Don't get me wrong, I like Saffy but seeing Mr. Wendell chase her fluffy tail just puts a smile on my face. I'm a horrible person, I know.I'm leaving for Knoxville on Thursday and I can't wait. I haven't been home since March and I need my Southern fix. I'm starting to sound like a...Yankee!! NO!!!! I'm also going to Morgan and Jamie's wedding and getting my hair cut. Is it sad that I refuse to ge my hair cut up here?
