Lately I've been craving something crunchy and I'm too much of a freak to allow myself to eat a potato chip. They're so UNHEALTHY!! Anyway, I was obsessively scanning allrecipes.com (my mecca of recipe goodness) and I came across something called Baked Kale Chips . These first drew my attention because they involved something green (my main requirement for something to be healthy). If it's green, it's healthy, right? right? The second thing that made me want to try these little babies out is that the recipe is incredibly simple and quick. I mean you can't go wrong with only 3 ingredients.
Well, I'm going to stop gushing and just list the recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch kale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a non insulated cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- With a knife or kitchen shears carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and thoroughly dry kale with a salad spinner. Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning salt.
- Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, 10 to 15 minutes.
I'm telling you, you can't go wrong with these babies...well unless you're one of those unhealthy people who doesn't eat anything unless it's deep-fried or endorsed by a cartoon character.
